Thrive Family Care is owned and operated by Ojai residents Lisa Griffiths and Sylvia Dizon. We envision a home that facilitates our residents’ expression of their full selves, where families feel connected to their loved one’s care and comfortable knowing they are loved and respected. We envision a community presence that is connected and integrated so that our residents can continue to be part of the community in whatever way best fits their needs and desires, and so that Thrive Family Care is an integral part of the greater Ojai community. We envision a village where our families are connected and engaged in care planning as well as the activities of daily life.

Both Lisa and Sylvia are active in the Ojai community, with Lisa involved with several local non-profits, and deeply involved on the Board of the Nan Tolbert Nurturing Center. We are proud to be raising our two children here in Ojai, and along with our parents and extended family, have had three generations of our family put down roots in the Ojai Valley. We have history here, too - Lisa’s great-grandparents lived in Meiners Oaks in the 1950s, and her mother has fond memories of the Matilija Hot Springs and the Ojai Valley from her frequent trips here as a child.
Our vision of a family-focused elder care facility stems from our own experiences of friends and family encountering long-term eldercare needs. We are striving to create a care community where our own loved ones could thrive, and yours as well.
